Is more money really the solution?

It’s been an uncomfortable few weeks for proponents of foreign aid. Ethiopia, Somalia, Sierra Leone and now Kenya- whose education ministry is accused of embezzling over £800,000 of DfID’s aid money. It is time to stop throwing good money after bad and to make African politicians accountable to their electorate, rather than to foreign bureaucrats.
