World Bank opens the door to its data

Last week, saw the launch of http://data.worldbank.org/, which for the first time makes World Bank data freely available to the public. This is long overdue and will help us see more clearly how the world is changing, and make it more difficult for bureaucrats and politicians to spin and fudge. Bravo to the World Bank. Sunlight is the best disinfectant!
