Agricultural subsidies continue to hurt the poorest farmers

While the UN gives Africa more unhelpful advice on agriculture, US reports show that, despite promises of reform, the wealthiest US farmers are still receiving the bulk of government subsidies. In fact, this is the case across the globe, as rich and well-connected farmers benefit from hand-outs, while the poorest struggle to compete.
