Brunei

Brunei uses its enormous petro-wealth to provide a universal healthcare system. Care is generally of good quality, perhaps second only to Singapore in the ASEAN region. Malaria and cholera, significant problems in Southeast Asia, have been effectively eradicated. Until the recent establishment of a medical school in the Sultanate, all doctors were expatriates.

Brunei does not charge any tariffs on pharmaceutical imports.
