"The United Nations estimates that more than $500 billion in counterfeit drugs is traded every year throughout the world, and West Africa is one of the key destinations for dealers. One British think tank, the International Policy Network, blames fake drugs for approximately 700,000 deaths world-wide from malaria and tuberculosis."
